Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Pre-Kindergarten Teacher to join our team. As a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the minds of young learners and fostering their development in a nurturing and stimulating environment, all while preparing students for public school.
Duties
- Create and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards
- Provide instruction in various subjects, including literacy, math, science, and social studies
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and growth
- Utilize effective teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents/guardians
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement school-wide initiatives
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance
- Communicate thoroughly and regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on student progress
Experience
To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Valid teaching certification or license (preferred)
- Experience working with children, preferably in a preschool or elementary school setting
- Knowledge of child welfare and childhood development principles
- Strong literacy education skills, including phonics instruction and reading comprehension strategies
- Ability to develop age-appropriate curriculum that incorporates hands-on learning experiences
- Proficiency in math concepts relevant to pre-kindergarten curriculum
- Knowledge of physical education activities suitable for young children
- Excellent classroom management skills to create a structured and productive learning environment
