Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Take and develop dental X-rays
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical coding systems
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform dental charting and assist with dental impressions and restorations
- Follow aseptic techniques to ensure infection control
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Open Dental And Sidexis
- Collaborate with the dental team to provide excellent patient care
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology
- Proficient in dental assisting techniques and procedures
- Familiarity with medical coding systems for accurate billing and insurance claims
- Experience in taking and developing dental X-rays
- Ability to maintain a sterile environment using aseptic techniques
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems such as Open Dental
