Concord Village Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation is a beautiful newer rehabilitation facility located in Lake County, about 20 min northeast of Cleveland, Ohio. Patients from the hospital continue their stay here for 2-3 weeks of rehabilitation and skilled nursing before heading home after surgery or illness.
We are looking for an Assistant Director of Nursing to work in collaboration with the Director of Nursing to create an efficient workplace with attention to quality standards and policies. Responsibilities
- Oversee nursing personnel (registered nurses, LPN etc.)
- Guide staffing procedures
- Organize and coordinate admission, nursing and patient care procedures
- Develop and enforce policies aiming for legal compliance and high quality standards
- Control budgets and monitor expenditures
- Resolve issues and deficiencies when needed
- Manage record-keeping procedures
- Collaborate with other departments and professionals to streamline operations
- Report to upper management
- Must have working knowledge of the basic principles of infection control and wound care.
- Must have demonstrated competence in providing wound care that is sterile and/or aseptic.
- Provides wound care (bandages, cleaning, applying medication) and assessing for appropriateness of bandage integrity during time between dressing changes.
- Assuring availability of treatment supplies and topical medications (as prescribed by the physician).
- Provide weekly documentation.
- Complies with facility guidelines for documentation and physician’s orders.
- Relates well to patients, families and other team members.
- Interacts well with therapists and implements individual programs as developed.
- Maintains equipment and supplies for treatment.
- Maintains consistent patient care schedule and is efficient in use of time. Coordinates restorative treatments with other facility departments.
- Maintains a professional attitude and appearance.
Skills
- Proven experience in skilled nursing setting preferred
- Great knowledge of legal regulations and best practices in healthcare
- Excellent ability to lead and develop personnel
- Great communication and people skills
- Outstanding organizational and stress management skills
- Aptitude in problem-solving
- Valid nursing certification
