Position Title: Clinical Operations Director
Primary Responsibilities: Under the direction of and in consultation with the Executive Director, responsible for overseeing contractual, programmatic, and clinical elements of housing programs, supervising program staff, and maintaining quality assurance guidelines and ethical standards.
Essential Duties:
- Supervise case managers, medical case managers, patient navigator, clinical contract staff and foodbank program (Save the FoodBasket).
- Schedule and facilitate clinical team meetings.
- Develop and maintain a positive working environment for program staff; and provide adequate support for program staff in order to nurture a positive work environment.
- Assist with the submission of proposals to on-going governmental grants and oversee the implementation of proposed services and contract compliance, including filing reports.
- Oversee program operations, contractual compliance, and delivery of adequate, fair, and effective housing and housing related supportive services.
- Facilitate the Intake Team; process in-coming applications, determine acuity and eligibility for assistance, placement on waiting list, and placement on programs.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of all programs. Collaborate with the Director of Quality assurance to develop and implement a quality assurance program that meets or surpasses basic contract requirements for program operations. This includes documentation and charting, response time to applications and consumer contacts, comprehensive care plan development and oversight, and response to consumer emergencies.
- Plan appropriate training programs for program staff and contract providers pertaining to the delivery of housing and consumer services and providing supportive services including but not limited to effective communication, mental health and substance use issues.
- Report on the delivery of all program services to the Executive Director and the Accountant as needed. Write reports and gather data as determined in conjunction with program staff.
- Create programs and supportive services within budget guidelines to meet the contractual obligations of the agency. Appropriate emphasis and time will be placed on the start-up of new programs when warranted according to new funding contracts.
- Work closely with the Executive Director, Director of Quality Assurance and Accountant to ensure smooth overall agency and office operations.
Other Duties:
- Assist the Executive Director, case managers and Save the Food Basket Coordinator in their duties as required.
- Represent Gregory House Programs in the community as requested and maintains good working relations with other agencies and persons providing services and support to GHP program participants.
Working Conditions: Indoors office, air-conditioned rooms. Travel to meetings, transitional program facilities and Save the Food Basket as necessary.
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Equipment Use: standard office equipment; use of own vehicle required.
Physical, Mental, and Communication Demands: Requires use of discretion and judgment; requires working to established procedures, maintaining reliable work attendance; may require working under minimal supervision; requires verbal communication skills and following oral and written instructions.
Skills/Knowledge: In addition to meeting the mental, physical, and communication demands listed above, must be able to read, speak and comprehend English, use computers, climb stairs, and lift 30 lbs. Valid driver’s license required and clean driving record required.
Education/Experience: Master of Social Work degree and a minimum of 3 years of experience supervising front line program staff required. Five years of experience working with persons living with HIV/AIDS preferred but not mandatory. Candidates that have substance abuse, mental illness and/or homelessness preferred.
