Quality Assurance Manager and ISO Coordinator

We have a great opportunity for a Quality Assurance Manager and ISO Coordinator that has experience with managing audit processes and customer relations, also who would consider themselves outgoing and self-driven.
What we do at StarPet is produce PET polymers for manufacturing bottles and sheets and specialize in the Performance PET Resins. The company has achieved ISO 14001 certification. It is a part of Indorama Ventures Public Company Limited, which is one of the largest polyester chain producers in the world. The company serves clients in the health care, automotive, textile, and food and beverage industries.
Summary
This person will be responsible for quality control of all products produced by this facility and customer relations with internal and external partners. The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a lead auditor and possess the ability to trouble shoot problems for guidance on quality standards for StarPet.
Key Responsibilities
· Ensure the quality and food safety management systems are established, implemented, maintained and updated as required. This may include writing work instructions and sample schedules.
· Training in ISO 9001, Lean Management and/or Six Sigma
· Manage, train and organize the work of the internal audit team and food safety team.
· Report to management on the effectiveness and suitability of quality and food safety management systems and act as liaison with external parties on matters relating to food safety management system and third-party audits.
· Adhere to all personnel and facility safety guidelines and GMPs.
· Knowledge of receiving, shipping, processing and material handling operations.
· Conduct internal audits of site procedures, processes, work instructions, logs, reports, and others as necessary.
· Must be certified in Food Safety/HAACP
· Knowledge of lab procedures and an understanding of Quality System Management and Environmental Management Systems as they pertain to personnel.
· Other jobs as assigned by management.
Requirements
· BA/BS in Chemistry or a 4-year degree in a technical field
· 5 years of experience as a Lead Auditor
· Strong knowledge of MS Excel, Word and Outlook
· Great communications skills both written and verbal.
· Strong writing and reading skills-necessary for writing procedures, responding to audits, clients and customers.
· Working knowledge of laboratory equipment, supplies, and housekeeping
· Must be able to lift 50lbs.
