Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with technical support centers in South East Asia and East Africa, that provide program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.
As a Scheduler, you will manage project schedules, ensure accuracy and budget alignment, and utilize automated project management systems. This role includes technical assistance in implementing and maintaining scheduling systems, analyzing reports for schedule and cost optimizations, and effectively collaborating with Government entities. Understanding heavy infrastructure project construction is also vital for success in this role.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide support to technical teams in implementing and maintaining the Primavera Scheduling System.
- Manage Primavera input effectively, offering visual representations and trend analyses of program data.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, including budget development, utilizing automated project management systems like Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Analyze project management reports, offering recommendations on schedule and cost adjustments.
- Work professionally with various Government entities, representing government interests while ensuring quality work and fostering positive relationships.
- Utilize knowledge and experience in heavy infrastructure project construction to develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, identify delays, evaluate proposed changes, and provide detailed analyses for potential schedule revisions to mitigate delays.
- Perform other duties pertinent to the position's scope as needed.
Qualifications to be successful in the role:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields.
- Strong preference for APICS CPIM, PMP, or similar scheduling and project management certifications.
- Minimum of 3-5 years in scheduling, preferably within heavy infrastructure project construction, demonstrating proficiency in Primavera Scheduling System and project management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Chrome, and Internet Explorer.
- Primavera Scheduling System: Experience providing technical assistance and maintaining system integrity. Proficiency in managing input data for visual representation and trend analysis.
- Proficient in utilizing automated project management systems for budget development within project schedules.
- Capable of analyzing project management reports to offer recommendations on schedule adjustments and cost management.
- Experience or understanding of heavy infrastructure project construction's unique aspects and challenges.
- Must lawfully reside in the United States and be eligible for employment (Planate does not sponsor visas or work permits).
