JOB SUMMARY:
Maintaining inventory levels across multiple suppliers of beverage products. Forecast future needs by assessing current inventory levels, reviewing sales trends, and anticipated future sales. Anticipate possible supply constraints along with OTR delivery failures and take action. Assist sales, operations, and administration in identifying low, out of stock or aging situations. Responsible for communicating with beverage product suppliers regarding the planning, preparing, and monitoring of all inventories.
ESSENTIAL LOCAL FUNCTIONS:
- Plan, prepare, place orders and make all adjustments with suppliers on a timely basis.
- Track and expedite all orders.
- Make approved adjustments to inventories and review daily quantities required, availability and probable depletion.
- Review probable shortages and take action to remedy situation.
- Work with management to determine special needs, situations, or changes required for ordering or delivering of product.
- Assist in daily reporting on inventory levels, generate monthly sales, inventory reports, and other reports as required.
- Completes special assignments at the request of the Senior Management and submits all reports on time and in a professional business format.
- Coordinates trucking and railing transportation of product orders to balance delivery scheduling to minimize costs and ensure product is received on the promised date.
- Assist in various phases of house accounts, i.e. price checks, orders, etc.
- Verify daily receiving product receipts.
- Locate assigned and delivered product as needed.
- Input required information into computer.
- Coordinate inventory management with branch location to attain all product in stock.
- Analysis and standardizing statistical information for warehouse production.
- Solution oriented enterprise mindset approach to all obstacles.
- Understands and complies with all local, state and federal regulations along with all IBEV policies and procedures.
- Adheres to all IBEV policies, procedures, and trainings to include safety.
- Other Assigned Duties.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Associates degree or higher education preferred.
- Minimum 2-year procurement/order planning experience.
- Experience managing multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating a sense of urgency.
- Ability to learn new systems quickly and create improved efficiency.
- Excellent follow-up skills with the ability to follow-through to completion.
- Effective communication, writing and grammar skills, basic math, paying great attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.
- Prior experience in ordering products from multiple suppliers.
