Join our Team! We are looking for an Escrow Assistant to provide support to our Escrow department by assisting with customer service, escrow duties and reception duties related to preparing for the closing of real property transactions where title is being insured.
Job Responsibilities:
1.) Assist escrow staff with opening orders, initiate file set up, allocate funds and write transmittals for funds and documents for escrow process.
2.) Assist customers by providing general information on company escrow services, procedures and status of files.
3.) Assist escrow with the task of recording documents by delivering them to the County recorder's office each day.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1.) Knowledge of the purpose and use of title insurance and of related services; of the purpose and terminology of legal instruments involved in escrow transactions.
2.) Analytical ability sufficient to perform varied tasks of limited complexity guided by general company escrow procedures and escrow supervisor instructions.
3.) Strong customer service orientation.
4.) Strong verbal skills. Spanish speaking preferred.
5.) Ability to operate a computer and to use common office suite software, such as Outlook and word processing.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent, courses in bookkeeping and mathematics desired.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
