The Opportunity
Leavitt Machinery is looking for a Technical Support Agent to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. As the Technical Support Agent, you will provide remote diagnostic assistance and support to the technicians and customers on equipment that needs to be repaired.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
As the Technical Support Agent your key responsibilities will include:
- Receive phone calls, log case information and direct to the appropriate person if unable to resolve.
- Advise technicians in repairing equipment: sourcing service information, diagnosing the equipment through remote control of their computer, and providing sound advice derived from experience.
- Create and administer current training courses.
- Participate in available training course to remain current in their skill level.
- Produce weekly/monthly toolbox meeting “tech tips” mail outs and service bulletins.
- Advise on repair directions and procedures to maximize customer experience and/or warranty compliance.
- Ensure all advise complies with all corporate safety initiatives, policies, and programs.
- Additional duties as may be assigned.
Required Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:
- Strong computer skills in Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office.
- Proven ability and experience/training in diagnostics and repair of similar equipment.
- Mechanical experience in the heavy machinery industry and small equipment is an asset.
- Extremely organized and a self-starter.
- Able to work with no supervision.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with conflict effectively.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Must be a team player.
- Ability to manage many urgent priorities simultaneously.
