This is not a hire to train or wait until you develop customers position. If you do not have a book a customers actively moving truck load freight this position is not for you. But, if you are looking to work with a 3PL with a better work environment and you have an established customer base you could be making up 60% commissions on all loads moved and paid in your first week.

Position Summary
The Sales Account Manager's main goal is to generate new business revenue by conducting market research, identifying sales opportunities, initiating contact with prospects, ascertaining customer needs, and developing innovative solutions to close new accounts. This also includes daily contact with current customers, continuing to build business to business relationships through service, communication and industry knowledge. This position offers two options. 1st option; you are the face of the account and communicate directly with your customers. You are their primary point of contact and you execute all operational aspects of dispatching. 2nd option; is that you are the face of the account (strictly the sales person) and hand off all dispatching functions to the operations team. Either way you are the face of the account and you own the account 100%. MPL will handle all billing and back office operations allowing you time to focus on your customers and building your business.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Continued growth of active accounts
- Solicit potential customers for freight opportunities through cold calls, emails and face to face interaction.
- Provide profitable load coverage, personalized service and available capacity
- Present customers viable freight solutions
- Uphold MPL’s expected level of service through timely/accurate updates, accountability and all-around communication
- Self-motivated to deliver high-quality results
- Strong time management, networking and business development skills
- Work independently but also assist in group projects with effective communication and interaction
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A Bachelor's Degree or higher is preferred but not required.
- General computer skills including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Sales and/or Logistics background
