MAIN OBJECTIVE
Responsible for leading daily priorities, assigning team members to appropriate processes/operations to ensure compliance with distribution schedules and efficient workflow. Prepare orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; building crates; packing boxes; load trucks for delivery. Maintain excellent service by following organization standards of quality, and national standards of shipping best practices. Performs repetitive operations
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Leading daily priorities, per the schedule, of the shipping team.

Assign team members to appropriate processes/operations to ensure compliance with production schedules and efficient workflow.

Train and assist shipping team members on day-to-day responsibilities, specific customer needs, escalation processes, and distribution compliance rules.

Perform shipping functions to pack and ship final products, using hand or power tools, in order to meet daily shipping objectives.
-
Perform a wide array of carpenter-related skills and tasks to properly and timely pack final products and ship items securely and effectively to minimize breakage.
-
Fill all customer orders with accuracy and timeliness.
-
Document, record, and photograph final shipment contents and quality prior to loading it on trucks.

Coordinate with all departments to fulfill specific and ongoing inventory and shipping needs.

Build and wrap pallets for secure shipment and/or storage.
-
Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Lead, or Production Manager.
-
Ensure a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, packing area, and workstations neat; maintain clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Required to follow all company Safety Rules and Procedures. (including but not limited to PPE)

Required to maintain consistent and acceptable attendance according to the assigned schedule provided by the manager as well as the Team Member Handbook.

Meet departmental goals and defined key performance indicators (KPIs).

Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS

High school Diploma/GED preferred. Less than high school education may be accepted.

A minimum of 2+ years of experience in a distribution or warehousing environment with prior knowledge in packaging and shipping standards.

Excellent leadership and organizational skills are required.
-
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs required.
-
Previous knowledge of tape measure, math and use of hand or power tools required.
-
Experience using a forklift and pallet jack preferred.
-
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and complete a wide variety of carpentry and shipping tasks.
-
Ability to work mandatory overtime and weekends required.
-
Must have a reliable method of transportation to/from the facility.
