Qualifications:
Candidates must be detail-oriented, highly motivated, and meet the requirements below. Duties predominantly include project management related to the electrical contracting field.
- (10) Years of electrical construction experience.
- If a Journeyman license is active, obtain an Electrical Masters license within (6) months of hire date.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Microsoft Project.
- Valid driver’s license
- Value highly collaborative solution-oriented relationships with departmental Directors, Project Management, Project Accountant, Human Resources, Payroll Specialist.
- Ability to travel on a weekly basis either scheduled or unscheduled.
- Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code and electrical theory.
- Proficient skills in reading construction drawings, specifications, electrical submittals.
- Knowledgeable expertise in layout of electrical equipment and systems.
- The ability to pass local city or county Journeyman electrical licensing exams on a project specific as needed basis.
- Possess at minimum (1) Journeyman electrical license.
- Applicants must complete a background check and have a valid driver’s license
- Must be able to pass drug screen
- Must have a High School Diploma/GED
- Must be able to work 40-58 hour work weeks, 5 to 6 days a week
- Must have previous electrical experience in commercial/industrial/installation
- Degree from a 4 year trade school preferred
- Strong safety record
- Attention to details and accuracy
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, diplomacy a must
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage subcontractors and vendors
- Positive and “Can Do!” attitude, self-motivated, strong work ethic, and team player
- Commitment to continual personal and professional growth
- Candidates must be willing and able to travel nationally, and have reliable transportation.
- Data Center and strong Industrial experience highly preferred.
Essential Functions:
- Leads multiple job sites of Site Superintendents/Foremen/Journeymen / Electricians / Apprentices
- Install service wiring, conduits, fixtures and other electrical devices and systems on commercial projects
- Install projects as contracted and designed utilizing design drawings, specifications, and wiring diagrams
- Install all electrical work to meet or exceed current National Electrical Code (NEC) as well as local codes and requirements
- Completes accurate and thorough documentation of work performed and processes involved
- Daily Reporting, Look-Aheads, and progress updates required
- Conduct weekly toolbox talks
- Follow correct process and procedures for all company policies
- Maintain compliance to all PPE and safety regulations per OSHA and company programs
- Leads, guides, and / or trains other electricians in applicable procedures and techniques
- Performs other duties as required or assigned
- Special projects as needed
Supervision:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled site visits for QA/QC purposes including site foreman project requirements including as-builts and progress drawings in addition to the installation of equipment and materials.
- Adhere to and enforce InPwr Inc. safety protocol and promote onsite hazard awareness.
- Implement and enforce InPwr Inc. policies and procedures in areas of human resources, jobsite documentation and project execution.
- Provide general support on an as needed basis for General Foreman, Project Foreman.
Administrative:
- Manage the current InPwr Labor Tracking of personnel.
- Continually assess InPwr field personnel as it applies to individuals job qualifications, performance, and compensation evaluations.
- Manage fleet vehicle assignments and schedule of services.
- Manage and coordinate tool set up, mobilization and transfer for new and recently completed projects.
Leadership:
- Promote and reinforce InPwr core values to all field personnel.
- Encourage and support field personnel in all matters of electrical licensing and continuing education.
Working/ Environment/ Physical Demands to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead.
- Lift 51 pounds.
- Constantly moving your feet.
- Climb ladders (all types).
- Completing overhead work for full-day assignments.
- Must be able to make transition from employee parking area or street into construction work areas and to gain access to all levels of building even if the only means of access is by OSHA approved site construction ladder or stairs still under construction but acceptable for use.
- Possess good vision (normal or corrected).
- Responsible for securing tools and materials from storage areas to complete their assigned tasks.
