A. Overall Purpose of the Job
The Medical Administrator is responsible for providing administrative support and medical receptionist services to the Project Management. This role involves managing patient interactions, coordinating schedules, maintaining records, and supporting day-to-day office activities to ensure smooth operations within the medical facility.
B. Key Responsibilities
- Patient and Visitor Assistance: Welcome patients and visitors to the hospital, assist with inquiries, check them in for appointments, and answer phone calls and emails promptly and efficiently, routing them to the proper department as needed.
- Scheduling Management: Efficiently manage the electronic scheduling system to arrange patient appointments and follow up to provide reminders. Coordinate with Triage Nurses for patient scheduling and provider availability.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain patient records by verifying the accuracy of personal and billing information at each visit.
- Inventory and Equipment Management: Perform consistent stock checks, anticipate needed supplies, place orders, and schedule maintenance for equipment service and repairs as needed.
- Office Activities Participation: Actively participate in day-to-day office activities, including meetings and task force groups, to improve procedural processes, obtain approvals, and stay updated on new developments and policy requirements.
- Administrative Tasks: Assist Program Management with daily administrative tasks such as report preparation, scheduling and tracking of patients, and staffing.
- Mass Casualty Exercises: Actively participate in Mass Casualty exercises and events.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
C. Job Profile
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in an administrative role, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Medical terminology certification is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
Experience Preferred:
- Experience on a military site, working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred.
Education Required:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Other Special Qualifications:
- Common Access Card (CAC) or ability to obtain one.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate.
- US Department of State (DOS) clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.
- Must be able to relocate to Iraq.
- A valid passport is required and must be in your possession before relocation. You must maintain a current passport during your stay in Iraq.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $22.62 - $26.22 per hour
