Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
Department: Crisis Support Services
Reports To: BCBA/Director of Clinical and Crisis Support Services
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide behavioral supports to children and adolescents in the Autism Spectrum Disorders Crisis Support Homes (ASD-CSH)

Implement individualized crisis plans developed by BCBAs

Collect data to monitor progress and effectiveness of the plan, as guided by the BCBA

Provide regular written and verbal progress updates on the treatment goals

Complete daily behavior documentation and tracking

Support the BCBA with training families on implementing individualized treatment plans

Participate in team meetings and training workshops

Ensure that the client is in a safe and productive environment at all times

Directly observe the individual served in all relevant settings.
- Maintain hyper-vigilance during shifts in order to provide redirection and other behavioral interventions to individuals in crisis

Demonstrate and perform as an effective adult model for people we support

Adhere to assigned schedule and report for duty for the hours assigned

Implement planned activity schedule to include structured activities, menu and appointments

Maintain supervision of the people we support unless it is stated in the plan of care. This includes if the relief staff is tardy or absent

Communicate professionally and act respectfully with people we serve, support, their families, service providers, service monitors, coordinators and GCSS employees

Assist with coordinating medical and dental appointments for individuals in the home, such as transportation etc.

Notify supervisor of incidents within 24 hours of occurrence

Complete incident reports and submit to administrative office as required

Adhere to agency policies concerning confidentiality of consumer information
-
Adhere to agency documentation standards for participant and provider records
-
If applicable, monitor the vehicles assigned to the homes i.e., cleanliness, good repair, etc.

Participate in staff meetings of crisis home staff

Participate in professional growth activities such as conferences, classes, team meetings and program visitations

Accept all other responsibilities and duties as assigned
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
-
Certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
-
A minimum of at least two(2) years experience serving individuals with developmental disabilities.

A minimum of three years recent experience working with individuals who have autism spectrum disorders and their families
Current RBT certification; Valid Georgia Drivers license and auto insurance
