Position summary
T-Mobile is America’s supercharged Un-carrier, delivering an advanced 4G LTE and transformative nationwide 5G network that will offer reliable connectivity for all. Senior Engineers, Software located in Atlanta, GA will ensure that our software, systems, and infrastructure are designed and implemented to the highest security standards.
Position duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Design, develop, implement, and support internal business systems/applications, systems interfaces, databases, reporting, and business intelligence systems to deliver proactive methods to enhance our overall security posture.
Ensure that the software meets customer’s requirements, scales easily, removes the limitations of traditional networking solutions, and supports deployment in highly available environments.
Work on technical assignments that require sound judgment when resolving issues and making recommendations as well as considerable initiative.
Recognize system protocols and how systems operate as well as data flows and be aware of current technology benefits.
Work independently to develop a full software stack.
Understand the building blocks, interactions, dependencies, and tools required to complete software and automation work.
Work on independent study of current technology.
Interact with architects and principal engineers to define system requirements.
Drive engineering projects by developing software solutions, conduct tests and inspections, prepare reports and calculations.
Contribute to designs that implement new ideas which improve an existing or new system, process, and service.
Contribute to designs that implement new ideas which utilize new frameworks to improve an existing or new system, process, and service.
Review existing designs and processes to highlight more efficient ways to complete existing workload more effectively through industry perspectives.
Maintain knowledge of existing technology documents.
Write basic documentation on how technology works and clear documentation for new code and systems used.
Document systems designs, presentations, and business requirements for consumption and consideration at the manager level.
Understand the protection of company Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).
Translate business and functional requirements into documented backlog in partnership with product owner.
Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance.
Skill requirements:
Designing complex multi-tiered applications with scalable web technologies including REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, Java, J2EE, Web Dynpro Java, Speech technology, and services virtualization using LISA framework.
Designing and building Restful APIs, API Apigee gateway, and creating service contracts with building swagger and WSDL following standard specifications.
Developing enterprise applications and integration using Java, Nodejs, AWS, EMS, JMS, Rabbitmq, Kafka, using one operating system (Unix or Windows 2000), SQL, and No-SQL databases.
Developing containerized apps using cloud technology including Cloud Foundry, AWS, Kubernetes, spring boot, Nodejs, Angular JS, API Developer portal, web service frameworks, and testing with Postman/rest client.
Conducting DevOps, Agile-Scrum, Jenkins, Automated testing using Newman and CICDs practices and platforms to implement, maintain and improve continuous integration and continuous delivery processes.
Experience and education requirements:
PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering, or the foreign equivalent or related, and 3 years of relevant work experience.
ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, or the foreign equivalent or related, and 5 years of relevant work experience.
