An Electrical Engineer job in Florence, KY, is available through TriMech Services. The electrical engineer will work under the direction of the systems engineer/principal engineer to develop electrical systems for military mobile transporter systems.
Summary of Job Description:
The electrical engineer will assist with the layout of the power and control components required for the transport systems. The electrical engineer will assist in the design of the control panel and select all components (high voltage/low voltage) to meet the power and control requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Circuit and hardware design used in the design of military vehicle systems
- Support the design and development of electrical subsystems, circuits, power, wire harness creation
- Experience with SolidWorks & SolidWorks Electrical
- Experience working with electrical systems in a manufacturing or prototyping environment
- Collaborate with other engineers to leverage existing products where possible to expedite the design process as well as minimize costs
- Will work with designers on the program to design the control panel and all corresponding electrical subassemblies. As well as routing the cables
- Provide technical knowledge to the design team to help develop the Bill of Materials for all components associated with the electrical system
Skillset Requirements:
- Provide the designer with technical guidance
- Estimate work required for assigned components and or subsystems
- Highlight technical risks to the systems engineer
- Experience with SolidWorks (electrical), MS Project, and NEC handbook is a plus for this role.
- Experience with Lean Principles is a plus
Education Requirements:
BS Electrical Engineer or Related Degree
