· Performs and oversees support staff’s each encounter in an efficient, courteous and professional manner.
· Functions as a primary resource in handling patients clinical and nonclinical questions from routine to complex, while ensuring a high level of customer services and maximizing productivity.
· Interprets a variety of instructions based on computer application such as refills, status checks and general questions that may be asked by the patient when appropriate.
· Resolves patient issues, ensuring accurate information is provided.
· Verifies and updates all patient information.
· Accurately enters prescription information into the Pharmacy computer system when appropriate.
· Arranges delivery or will call date with the patient when appropriate.
· Handles physician-related calls of clinical and/or non-clinical nature in a high-paced, high volume work environment.
· Assists clients with insurance enrollment and provides referrals for other medical services when appropriate.
· Utilizes all available resources, including electronic medical records (EMR) and other resources for verifying patient insurance information and additional patient demographics such as phone numbers and addresses when appropriate
· Prepares and processes prior authorization forms for ADAP, Medicare, Medicaid and various commercial insurance plans including Managed Care programs when appropriate.
· Effectively assess patient’s needs, requests additional help and escalates to appropriate leadership as needed.
· Assists patients in obtaining payment and/or medications through various Pharmaceutical Assistance Programs (PAP).
· Ensures AHF Pharmacy service expectations are met at all times.
· Maintains privacy and confidentiality as required by HIPAA, AHF and departmental policy and guidelines.
· Consistently meets established productivity, scheduled adherence and quality standards, while maintain a good attendance record.
· Adheres to AHF and departmental policies, procedures and processes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities, other duties may be assigned:
· Works within the “Adherence Home Pharmacy” or “Adherence and Quality Care Center
· Pharmacy” at the assigned AHF Pharmacy location.
· Follows the AHF Pharmacy Adherence Program.
· Follows the AHF Pharmacy Workflow system
Education, Certificates, Licenses, Registrations and Experience
· Pharmacist degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
· A Pharm. D degree or higher desirable.
· Current Pharmacist license in the state employed by AHF.
· Clinical experience is highly desirable.
· HIV certification highly desirable, must obtain AHF approved certification within 180 days.
· National HIV certification highly desirable must be willing to obtain within 24 months of hire date.
· Must have at least one year (1) experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting perfered.
Computer/Software Skills and Abilities
· Must have data input skills and experience in processing prescriptions in a pharmacy computer system that maintains demographic information, creates prescription labels, adjudicates claims and performs other essential functions require in a pharmacy setting.
· Experience with Cerner/Etreby Pharmacy systems preferred.
· Must have typing skills and familiarity with Windows PC applications including word processing; excel spread sheets and various e-mail and texting applications.
Supervisory Responsibilities
· Supervises pharmacy support staff in absence of supervisor
· Have no direct Supervisory responsibilities.
· Oversees support staff tasks
· Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision

Pay: $57.00 per hour
