Job Description:
Route 66 American Kitchen is seeking a highly motivated Restaurant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our fast-paced and dynamic restaurant. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing all aspects of a restaurant, from front-of-house to back-of-house. Experience is not necessary but a plus. They will be responsible for ensuring that our restaurant provides an exceptional dining experience for our guests, while also driving revenue and profitability.
Responsibilities
- Manage the floor to ensure that the proper steps of service are followed, from greeting guests at the door to making sure servers promptly get their drink and food orders in.
- Maintain the table throughout the guests' experience, ensuring that they are satisfied with their meals and service.
- Oversee the work of bussers to ensure that tables are properly bussed and food is run from the kitchen efficiently.
- Oversee closing duties, including side work of servers and bartenders.
- Help to create cocktail and food menus; including innovative seasonal offerings.
- Ensure that bartenders are maintaining their stations, including prep and cleaning.
- Find new ways to drive revenue and streamline current systems.
- Assist all and any staff or guests as needed.
- Assist with events, such as private parties and corporate functions.
Desired Qualifications

- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English.
- Food Handler's Certification from the Department of Health is a plus.
- Experience with restaurant POS systems - proficiency with Toast is a plus.
- Full time availability, including days, nights, and weekends.
- Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs unassisted.
