Job description:
John Marshall Media is the World's Largest Independent Producer of Audio Books, and audio for the Educational Publishing Industry. We are looking for experienced, detail oriented recording engineers to join our team.
We're looking for college educated audio engineers to record for audiobooks, and other productions.* Commercial studio experience is a plus*. Applicants should be able to travel to our office in Midtown Manhattan as needed, and have a viable set-up from which to to run remote sessions. We hope to find several excellent candidates that will work with us for years to come.
The Work:
Set-up, record, and ensure file delivery for audiobook/VO sessions. We use the DAWs Pro Tools and Reaper. Projects will be given based on availability - update a calendar with your schedule and projects will be assigned accordingly - preference is to keep one engineer working on a full book/project. During sessions, engineers are responsible for ensuring pristine, noise-free audio, as well as script marking, and file organization & delivery. This is a freelance/as needed position. Can be 20-25+ hours per week - projects generally run from 1-5 days - depending on availability session volume. We hope to create a long-term relationship!
