Summary:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the incumbent leads a shift of hourly employees to accomplish goals and tasks, assures flawless execution, customer service, high productivity, and provides a good working environment for all employees. The Supervisor of Operations is a key leader for the site and represents good work ethics and follows company policy and direction.
Supervisory Responsibility:
The Supervisor of Operations supervises the operations lead, forklift operators, customer service representatives and any additional general labor (i.e. Inbound, Outbound, Pick, Pack, Ship).
Essential Job Functions:
Operations Supervision (50%)

Ensure adherence to production schedule by warehouse staff to ensure proper work priority

Coordinate work activities of employees to maintain productive workflow

Forecast daily workloads and plan staffing accordingly to manage labor resources efficiently

Maintain efficient use of warehouse space to reduce inventory movements and to increase efficiency

Review and request equipment, materials, or supplies required to process orders

Oversee maintenance of work equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks to ensure proper and safe functioning

Transport goods within warehouse and in/out of delivery vehicles via forklift or pallet jack
Compliance and Recordkeeping (5%)

Ensure safety programs, workplace sanitation requirements, policies/procedures, and established departmental operations are followed by staff and comply with federal, state, and regulatory agency requirements

Cross check item quantities received/shipped against shipping orders and notify staff of inconsistencies

Maintain records of products received and stored using scanners and manual checklists
Staff Supervision (25%)

Recruit, hire, train, coach, and evaluate performance of operations staff

Assign and prioritize duties and projects for departmental staff members

Manage daily time tracking for assigned staff

Coach, counsel, discipline, and terminate direct reports and site staff in accordance with company policy
Customer Service (20%)

Trouble shoot and assure floor execution for peak customer demand

Maintain daily communication with client concerning all aspects of their business

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent

Two years of leadership experience in a warehouse and/or logistics environment, or equivalent
