Description:
Drive a tractor-trailer combination or a truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW). May be required to unload truck. Requires commercial drivers' license.
Requirements:
- Operate company truck and comply in accordance with FMCSA regulations

Conduct yourself in the safest way possible at all times

Deliver product to customers in a timely and professional manner
-
Maintain accurate hours of service logs
-
Perform pre-trip and post trip inspections then communicate findings to management
-
Maintain a clean and orderly truck cab and trailer
-
Ensure all paperwork is accurate and matches what is to be received
-
Document pick-up and delivery in and out times
-
Collect paperwork from shipper and consignee
-
Assist in receiving shipments and assure shipments are loaded in a secure fashion

Ensure freight is properly protected upon receiving
-
Communicate during all aspects of duties
-
Communicate and question any concerns regarding condition of a shipment to dispatch or HFS operations
-
Maintain regular and predicable attendance
-
Must be able to accommodate to changes in scheduling when necessary

Report all defects, accidents & violations
-
Responds professionally to all customer’s needs and concerns.

Responds promptly and professionally to internal staff and customer needs/concerns in a quick and courteous manner and able to bring unresolved issues to management

Work together as a team with all departments and offices
-
Comply with all policies, procedures, safety rules and regulations
-
Complete all other tasks or duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
-
Valid CDL Class A,
-
At least two year driving experience
-
Clean driving abstract
-
Able to lift up to 50-100lbs
-
TWIC card
-
Port Experience
-
Hazmat endorsement
-
Basic math, written and oral communications skills
-
Maintains regular and predictable attendance required.

Work overtime as needed.

Excellent written and oral communications skills.

Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements.
