Located in the beautiful Texas Hill Country since 1998, Kerrville Eye Center is a well-established, well-respected ophthalmic practice providing comprehensive surgical and medical eye care. We are currently seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our team.
The Ophthalmic Technician has the following responsibilities:
- Promptly and professionally assisting the physician in patient care.
- Obtaining patient histories, including chief complaint, history of present illness, past history (ocular and general), and more.
- Performing diagnostic testing including, but not limited to, refractions, IOL Master, Visual Fields, and OCTs.
- Communicating with patients regarding follow-up care, surgery scheduling, etc.
Experience as an Ophthalmic Technician is preferred, however, we are willing to train the right individual as long as they possess the following skills:
- Excellent customer service skills and a passion for patient care.
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
- Dependable, prompt and ability to demonstrate good attendance.
- Team player, multi-tasker and have strong work ethic.
