PURPOSE: The Nursery worker shall support the church’s nursery ministry:
- Provide a safe, healthy, and loving environment for preschoolers
- Meet the spiritual, physical, mental, emotional, and social needs of preschoolers
- Educate preschoolers through the teaching of Bible truths
- Reach preschoolers and their families for Christ and the church
- Involve the church family in laying a Christian foundation for preschoolers
SUMMARY OF DUTIES: To provide a safe, nurturing, teaching environment for children, from birth through age three years during church-related functions.
Pay: $21/hour- 2 hours every Sunday morning. Once a month we will have CMF which would require an extra 2 hours.
In June 18- July 30 will be having weekly bible study every Tuesday from 6:30-8:30 and child care will be provided.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate shall:
- Be a Christian
- Working or possess a high school diploma or hold a general education degree (GED) certificate.
- Have had experience working with preschool children.
- Demonstrate a basic love for children.
- Be in good health, able to bend, stoop, lift, and physically take care of children.
- Be at least 16 years of age.

- Give each child the attention needed to ensure his/her best welfare. (This relates to eating, toileting, sleeping, playing, working, health care, safety, etc.)
- Be familiar with and follow the established personnel policies and procedures.
- Work according to the schedule outlined by the Family Director.
- Maintain a clean and orderly room each day.
- Inform the Coordinator of needed supplies, repairs, and materials.
- Pray for the children and families
- Help with outreaches and CMF (Children Ministry Fellowship)

12. Arrive 15 minutes prior to the Early Morning Service. Childcare hours include every Sunday
10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. You are expected to work all Sundays even if it falls on a holiday. You will have the option to work other church events, i.e. Easter, Christmas, Vacation Bible School, Sprinkle Mission, etc. The opportunity for extra work will be announced at least 4 weeks prior
to the event.
13. Communicate in advance, by phone to the nursery coordinator: 1) any planned absences with an advance two-week notice, or 2) any unplanned absences at least 10 hours prior to the shift.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS: This position is classified a part-time support staff and does not include vacation, sick-leave, or other benefits afforded to full-time personnel. The intent of the part-time status is to not exceed 5 hours per week. Social Security taxes will be withheld and matched by the church. This position reports to and is supervised by the Family Director.

Termination Policy:
· There will be a 90-day probationary period where either party may terminate employment without cause. Beyond this, a two-week notice is expected.
· Dependability is essential. Tardiness and excessive absences cannot be tolerated and will result in termination of employment.
Immediate termination will occur in cases of intentional verbal, physical, or emotional abuse or neglect of any child, parent, or church member. Termination may occur for failure to carry out job duties as described above or failure to comply with the “New Life Community Church Policy”.
