Supervisory Responsibilities:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Uses computer-assisted design (CAD) software to create preliminary and detailed drawings of the product.
- Produces specifications for products and chooses raw materials and components to be used in production.
- Builds models and prototypes of the product and tests the design.
- Develops concepts and creates 3D models
- Presents concepts to customers
- Creates detailed prints
- Inspects prototype and initial production parts
- Works with Quality Control and Manufacturing Engineering in developing production processes
- Develops and documents product testing
- Supports Quality Control and Manufacturing Engineering on current products
- Provides technical support for the Sales Department
Requirements:Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent mechanical and technical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency using 3D CAD Software, SolidWorks preferred.
- Must be able to read and interpret calipers, micrometers, and blueprints.
- Must have hands-on skills to assemble prototypes and do preliminary testing.
- Ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Must work well independently and in a team environment.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
- Five years of related experience preferred.
- Must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate prior to starting.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
