ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF NURSING
A long-term care facility located in Kansas City, MO, is currently seeking an RN, Assistant Director of Nursing. The ideal candidate will be results orientated team leader with superior interpersonal and communication skills to exercise administrative and functional supervision over the nursing department as directed by the Director of Nursing. The successful applicant will have a strong, rehabilitation focus, be challenged by high acuity residents and enjoy working with the elderly and those afflicted with a mental health diagnosis. Requirements include an unencumbered Missouri RN license, knowledge of Medicare A&B preferred, but not required. Duties Include (but are not limited to)
· Ability to work every other weekend
· Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the overall operation of the Nursing Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
· Wound care experience
· Documentation of all ADON services in PPC (Point Care Click)
- Participate in the nursing department portion of the Medicaid process, completing MDS assessments, admission process etc.
