Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team in a bustling restaurant setting. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation of delicious dishes and contribute to an efficient kitchen operation.
Duties:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and chopping
- Assist in cooking and preparing menu items according to set recipes
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
Skills:
- Knowledge of food safety principles
- Experience working in a restaurant or culinary environment
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Proficiency in using kitchen tools, including knives
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations and procedures
- Previous experience in a dietary department or food service is a plus
