Job Overview:
Spirent is seeking an experienced FPGA Engineer to join our ATA division working with our wireline hardware development team in Calabasas and Honolulu. In this role, you will help develop next-generation systems for use in High-Speed Ethernet tests. If you are an experienced Digital Design Developer with solid Verilog coding skills, a deep understanding of how Verilog translates into an FPGA implementation, and you can communicate on very technical topics then this is a great opportunity for you. This role prefers someone on the West Coast, pacific time zone, but is open to a remote work arrangement in the US.

Job Responsibilities:
- Creating and maintaining efficient and high-speed system functions for high-speed Ethernet communication networks in Field Programmable Logic Gate Arrays.
- Preparing specifications and documentation, studying custom requirements, and evolving standards.
- Implementation, optimization, simulation, and debugging of high-speed functions for FPGA technologies.
- Collaborate with system-level and design engineers during implementation and verification to meet time schedules.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree, from an accredited university, in Electrical Engineering or a similar technical field; or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 12 years of relevant work-related experience.
- At least 8 years of experience building products from scratch.
- Exceptional design skills.
- Complex FPGA systems, High-speed memories, CPU interfaces, and data pipelines.
- Experience and deep knowledge of Xilinx FPGA Development tools.
- Verilog, system Verilog implementation, design, documentation, verification.
- Multi-speed Ethernet communications layer 1 & 2.
- Computer networking and IEEE Ethernet standards.
- Proficient in standard hardware engineering best practices.
- Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
- Excellent communication skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
