Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)
Location: University City, MO & travel to St. Louis City & County
Terms: Part-Time building to Full-Time
Salary/Rate: $20-25/hour

About us: Blue Stars Therapy is the leading organization focused on children aged zero to five years with autism and other developmental delays in the greater St. Louis, Missouri area.
Using the Early Start Denver Model, we provide specialized Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Therapy, and Behavioral Therapy in the home, school, remote environments, and at our center-based program, The Blue School.

We empower and equip each child’s support group—parents, caretakers, educators, and extended family—to positively shift their child’s trajectory. Our therapists—all with a bachelor’s degree or higher—create collaborative, personalized, and interdisciplinary treatment plans for each child. About the role: The Certified Occupational Therapy-Assistant (COTA) works with the transdisciplinary team of professionals to provide clinical services for children with autism spectrum disorder and related developmental disabilities. The COTA is responsible for implementing treatment plans designed by the therapy team and collaborating with the Speech Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, and Board Certified Behavior Analyst on the team. The COTA maintains a weekly billable caseload of service hours and helps to create and maintain the positive and solution-oriented culture within a rapidly growing small business. This is a unique position to work closely with colleagues and acquire training to fidelity in the Early Start Denver Model.
Responsibilities:
- Implement individualized goals, objectives and behavior support plans for home and community-based programs
- Deliver high quality evidence-based treatment interventions
- Conduct regular caregiver and/or teacher consultation
- Meet regularly with team and identify issues impacting client’s progress and satisfaction
- Complete all necessary documentation in a timely and satisfactory manner as requested by company policies
- Maintain billable caseload and document billable hours according to the Blue Stars Therapy policy and state and federal regulations
- Participate in a three-month training in the Early Start Denver Model
- Engage and align with the Blue Stars Therapy mission, vision, and values
Candidate Requirements:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Preference given to candidates pursuing a master’s degree in a related field
- Preference given to candidates with a foundational knowledge of and experience with the Early Start Denver Model
- Access to transportation preferred. Require a valid drivers license & car insurance
