Position Summary:
We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and positive individual to join our team. You must have a mechanical aptitude recent machine operation experience and be skilled in troubleshooting machines. The Machine Operators will set up and operate machines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processes, formulations, waste control, equipment support, and all other functions related to the manufacture of safety products for the hearing protection industry. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up and operate manufacturing equipment to meet product specifications and production goals.
- Examine, measure, and weigh materials/products to verify conformance to standards, using measuring devices such as scales.
- Monitor the machine operations and observe lights and gauges to detect malfunctions.
- Review procedures, work instructions, and work orders to determine materials, settings, and adjustments needed for the manufacture and/or packaging of hearing protection products.
- Record and maintain production data such as meter readings, quantities, types, and dimensions of materials used, and products produced.
- Shut down processes, isolate products, and notify management in the event product fails to meet standards.
- Ensure that materials and finished products are moved between storage and work areas using a hand truck or forklift.
Requirements:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE & OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Simple Math skills.
- Ability to read and understand procedures, work instructions, and product specifications.
- Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Must be able to work in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to work independently under his/her initiative.
- High school diploma or GED, 2-4 years' experience as a Machine Operator in a manufacturing environment.
- Forklift experience loading and unloading pallets.
- The ability to communicate with engineering and management is a must.
- PC, calculator, and scale familiarity.
- MS Windows Experience.
