REGINA HEALTH CENTER is a CMS FIVE-STAR rated mission-based skilled nursing facility of excellence! Regina Health Center is located on 230 beautiful acres in Richfield, Ohio and we are currently seeking an experienced Wound Care Nurse (RN) to join our outstanding team! The Wound Care Nurse is responsible for coordination and clinical management of the wound care needs throughout the facility and by working collaboratively with the medical and nursing team, this position will be responsible for the assessment, treatment, and documentation of wounds. The primary purpose of the Wound Care Nurse is to provide primary skin care to residents under the medical direction of the facilities Wound Care Physician and Wound Care Nurse Practitioner, and/or the Director of Nursing, or the Medical Director of the facility, with an emphasis on treatment and therapy of skin disorders. The Wound Care Nurse is responsible to ensure that Regina Health Center obtains and maintains quality outcomes, and continually remains in compliance with federal and state regulations.
Position Qualifications:
- Must be a graduate of an approved nursing program with active RN license.
- Minimum of 1-year experience as a wound nurse (skilled nursing home preferred).
- Wound Care Certification is a plus!
- Provides daily wound care to residents and performs wound rounds with clinical team 1 day per week.
- Educates nursing staff on best practices for wound care.
- Participates in policy and procedure for comprehensive wound/pressure ulcer management.
- Ensures daily and weekly documentation and clinical review.
- Participates in MDS documentation requirements.
- Collaborates with the clinical team for care plan interventions and evaluation of treatment.
