The Fee for Service (FFS) Licensed Clinician provides Other Licensed Practitioner (OLP) services to children and youth (21 and younger) with behavioral and mental health challenges in their homes and communities in the Brooklyn and Queens area. This multi-component role consists of providing psychosocial evaluations and intake assessments, treatment planning, crisis intervention and planning, and individual, group, and family therapy. The Fee for Service (FFS) Licensed Clinician provides community-based services to children and families who may have difficulty engaging in formal office settings but can benefit from home and/or community-based therapy and rehabilitative services. The goal is to restore, rehabilitate, and support a child’s/youth’s functioning as necessary for integration as an active and productive member of their family and community, to achieve minimal ongoing professional intervention, and to develop and apply skills in natural settings.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide assessments and therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults weekly using evidence-based approaches, such as CBT, DBT, Trauma-focused therapy, and CPP.
- Assess, diagnose, treatment plan and document timely, per OMH and program guidelines.
- Work as part of an inter-disciplinary team to provide integrative care.
- Able to utilize and document in an electronic health record system (EHR).
- Carry a caseload of 7 to 10 clients.
- Participate in case conference meetings, monthly clinical supervision meetings and mandatory trainings, as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master’s degree in social work, psychology, mental health counseling, or any related behavioral health or human service fields.
- License required (LCSW, LMSW, LCAT, LMHC, LMFT)
- Bilingual English/Creole/French or English/Spanish is a plus, and one year of experience working with children and youth with behavioral and emotional challenges is preferred.
- Afternoon and evening availability required, Saturday availability a plus.
- Must be able to reliably commute to Brooklyn and Queens.
