ADL Visual Graphic Designer – 1 Opening, 1 Site

Our company is an innovative small business offering technical, management, and training solutions, and has an immediate need for an experienced ADL Visual/Graphic Designer at our Yorktown, VA location to support commercial and federal government clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare 3-D models, wire figures, and other textured media for inclusion in ADL products to support learning-specific performances.
- Proficiency in digital design: 2D and 3D, imaging and illustration, motion graphics.
- Proficiency in graphic design and 2D/3D modeling software: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Animate, Adobe After Effects, and Blender.
- Combine text, illustrations, photographs, and motion objects into sufficient quality to support learner acquisition of objectives and desired performances.
- Ability to create and integrate graphics, animation, and video for multimedia training products, which includes simulations, interactive courseware, and electronic performance support tools.
- Ability to interpret technical/mechanical illustrations for the creation of 2D and 3D illustrations and models.
- Evaluate and revise graphics for effectiveness in learning performances.
- Basic photography and videography skills, including video and audio editing (Adobe Premiere, Adobe Audition).
- Develop training aids to be used as embedded sound and video formats for ADL and that meet learning objectives in accordance with USCG TRASYS SOP Volume 7: ADL.
- Produce live-streaming broadcasts as part of synchronous course deliveries.
- Provide video and photographic training objects that meet technical standards for delivery via the USCG Standard Workstation and are compliant with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.
- Familiar with basic coding skills: CSS, HTML.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team.
- Perform lifecycle maintenance on graphical and visual (including video) products as required.
- Ensure work and processes conform to USCG TRASYS SOPs, standards, and other requirements.
Requirements:
- Must possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience involving graphic design on Government or industry ADL initiatives including combining text, illustrations, photographs, and motion objects, and preparing 3-D models, wire figures, and other textured media for inclusion in ADL products.
- Must possess an Associate’s Degree in graphic design or related area of study.
- Must possess a minimum of three (3) years of experience providing digital media support to create simulations, graphic sequences, and animations and use of graphics software: 3D Studio Max, Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software products, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint.
- COVID vaccination may be required. (Executive Order 14042 for Federal Contractors)
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
