JOB SUMMARY: The Inventory Manager is responsible for supervising and directing the activities of workers involved with receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing, and shipping materials, supplies, equipment, and food and beverage items parts in storerooms and the warehouse.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ensure Receivers are trained to properly inspect, count and tag all inbound product quality.
- Coordinate the flow of product from receiving dock area to the appropriate storage location.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of receiving purchase order’s and Bills of lading; following company procedures and policies.
- Supervise Inventory Clerk.
- Coordinate all necessary communication between Receivers and Purchasing.
- Ensure that the safety and rules of the facility are followed.
- Become a strong liaison between team and Management Team.
- Acts as a leader and mentor to warehouse teams.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Communicate effectively to all department supervisors and at all levels of the organization.
- Continually seeks new ways to improve efficiency, quality, and cost control
- Works in conjunction with the Purchasing Director to develop the company's inventory management strategy with the goal of controlling costs within budgetary limits.
- Responsible for managing inventory & quality control areas in a safe and organized manner.
- Ensures product is well organized and controlled to sufficiently support the goals of the business.
- Performs weekly cycle counts and investigates discrepancies.
- Conducts end of month inventories and inputs data into inventory control system.
- Manage control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed and resolved.
- Ensures inventory accuracy and optimal utilization of warehouse space.
- Studies records and recommends remedial actions for reported non-usable, slow moving, and excess/obsolete stock.
- Ensures inventory control system is up-to-date.
- Maintains highest standard of customer service skills & exemplary compliance.
- Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2-5 years’ experience progressive work experience in inventory control at a supervisory level or an equivalent combination of education and experience which would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be qualifying.
- Has technical expertise and has a “hands on” work ethic.
- Highly organized with strong multi-tasking skills; able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment & under pressure, meet deadlines & accomplish team objectives.
- Ability to verbally communicate effectively and clearly, decision making ability, must be able to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, effective time management, and open work schedule.
- Must be able to work flexible hours with at least 40 hours a week minimum and evenings, weekends, and holiday’s as business requires.
- Computer skills to include email & Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Able to comprehend & manage effective labor cost control.
- Exemplary supervisory skills.
- Team cooperation: maintain positive and cooperative attitude with all employees.
