The Landscape Construction Foreman manages a team of 3-4 laborers and is responsible for the installation and management of landscape and hardscape construction projects. This is a leadership position that manages a labor crew in the field and on unique jobsites in the Twin Cities Metro Area.

Previous 2+ years landscape construction experience IS REQUIRED.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Directs activities on the job site, that include but are not limited to:
- Ensures landscape installation jobs are completed on time and within budget.
- Employs best practices and industry standards to achieve excellent installation results.
- Coordinates jobsite workflow.
- Actively engages in hands-on installation work.
- Operates a variety of machinery.
- Reads and interprets landscape design plans.
- Trains crew on industry standard techniques.
- Communicates well with all crew members, supervisors, company staff, and clients.
- Supervises all crew members during the performance of all assigned work on jobsite.
- Leads by example.
- Maintains clean shop/yard area.
- Monitors all tools equipment and machinery for needed maintenance.
- Adheres to all safety rules and company safety policies.
- Reports for duty at the designated location on time, each day.
- Follows directions of and reports to Production Manager.
- Works directly with Production Manager to coordinate equipment, labor, inventory and supplies.
- Continually improves individual job skills while preparing for additional growth and opportunities.
- Accurately tracks and records hours worked through the LMN software.
- Ensures safe working environment and practices for crew
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds to shoulder level.
- Ability to walk, climb, twist, turn, kneel, crouch on rugged earthen terrain.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
· 2+ (5+ years preferred) experience as a Landscape Foreman
· High school diploma, GED or equivalent
· Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
· Commercial Driver’s License (preferred) and reputable driving record
· Proficient heavy equipment operating skills including mini-excavators, skid steer machinery with various attachments and other construction equipment as needed
· Knowledge and experience in installing a variety of hardscape applications
· Knowledge of perennials, shrubs, evergreens and trees
· Highly motivated, self-driven individual who is detail orientated
· Excellent attention to detail while working in fun and fast paced environment
· Great time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
· Able to work effectively with individuals of differing knowledge and backgrounds
· Clean and professional appearance
· Punctual and dependable
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $26.00 - $38.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
