The Full Time Licensed Clinician is responsible for supporting the MHOTRS clients with a range of services including but not limited to comprehensive psychosocial assessments, individual and group psychotherapy, crisis interventions utilizing a variety of therapy techniques that can help with mental health issues, emotional challenges, and psychiatric disorders.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
- Licensed Clinicians manage workload using centralized scheduling that will require advance planning and coordination with supervisory and administrative staff.
- Licensed Clinicians conduct screening and assessment in accordance with the use of validated screening tools to screen and assess for depression, trauma, substance use, and risk and needs associated with criminal risk.
- Licensed Clinicians develop recovery-oriented treatment plans and reviews in collaboration with the client, collaterals, and consented stakeholders such as significant others, criminal justice personnel, primary health care providers, care coordinators, and schools.
- Coordinate care with Bridge psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and administrative staff and closely coordinate with others including Residential staff involved in providing services to your client.
- Use evidenced sequential screening for risk of violence, closely monitor risk, and utilize risk management protocols to appropriately manage and intervene to effectively serve high-risk clients.
- Document treatment contacts using collaborative documentation.
- Utilize best and evidence-based approaches to treatment consistent with The Bridge’s’ organizational culture; health/mental health integration, rehabilitation, and recovery, and understanding the impact of trauma on treatment engagement.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- LMSW, LMHC-LP, LCSW, or LMHC
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience providing direct services to individuals with a serious mental illness, co-occurring substance use disorders, and co-morbid medical conditions in a community-based setting as well as knowledge and experience in assessment, treatment planning, documentation, and person-centered care.
- A high degree of computer literacy is necessary including competence with EHR.
- Demonstrated expertise in recovery-oriented, evidence-based practice.
- Demonstrated experience with diverse adults receiving mental health treatment, including delivery of treatment to individuals with serious mental illness, functional impairments, and psychosocial needs (homelessness, justice involvement, poverty, unemployment)
- Bilingual Spanish is highly preferred
- Must feel comfortable with developing a group curriculum and facilitating or co-facilitating group psychotherapy.
