SUMMARY:
We are growing and need to add new staff to help serve our patients well. We are looking for empathetic, driven Bilingual Medical Patient Payment Specialists who are enthusiastic about making a meaningful impact who will serve our patients well. This role you will take both inbound calls from patients who are paying their bill, have questions about their invoice or insurance. You will also make outbound calls to patients how are lapsed in paying their invoices. This role is your chance to join a team that prioritizes compassion and efficiency, helping to ease the healthcare journey for our patients. managing medical orders, coordinating with healthcare providers, and ensuring our patients have seamless access to the medical equipment they need.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Answers inbound phone calls and makes outbound phone calls, securing payment from patients, in an accurate, timely and courteous manner.

Effective and compassionate about collecting money, talking about past due accounts, setting up payment plans, reviewing insurance, understands copays and deductibles.

Helps educate patients on their financial responsibility for billed items and any applicable rules and regulations.

Completes insurance verifications and obtains prior authorizations in compliance with reimbursement guidelines, customer rules, and DASCO policy and procedures.

Accurately and clearly documents all activity in patient records. Maintains privacy of information in compliance with HIPAA and other applicable rules and regulations.

Secures payment or arranges payment plan whenever the opportunity presents itself.
Requirements:
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED equivalent.

2+ years' experience in a healthcare setting

Proficiency in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems

Exceptional problem-solving abilities
-
A passion for service.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

CNA, HHA, Billing, Coding, Medical Collections preferred

Bilingual abilities

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:00
a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job is 100% remote/ work from home

vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
