Position Description:
OrthoLazer Orthopedic Laser Centers (OLC) offer patients an innovative and effective alternative to pain management in the treatment of post- surgical, acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain conditions. Laser therapy is drug free, painless, non-invasive, and completely free of side effects. OrthoLazer Centers are designed with the patient in mind. We combine state of the art technology, facilities, and software to provide patients with fast and easy access to scheduling and completing the treatments they need. Our centers are independently owned by physicians and led on site by the Center Director (CD).
The CD is the leader who supports our mission and ensures our centers are successful from multiple standpoints. Your initial function will be center start up as you partner with the OLC corporate team for center build out, software implementation, hiring your team and learning the science of laser therapy. The CD is the lead provider liaison and will manage a regular cadence of dashboarding KPI's and execution of strategy to meet goals. This includes in person check-ins, monthly group meetings and quarterly reviews with your owner team. OrthoLazer delivers exceptional patient experiences and believes strongly that each patient is our most important patient. The Center Director will embrace this ideology and lead the team in supporting this vision. You will be in direct contact with patients representing each individual provider as well as the OrthoLazer brand. This requires knowledge of laser therapy, national and world wide trends in care, as well as your unique provider groups. Last, and certainly not least is culture. Essential responsibilities include:
· Acting as the primary liaison between patients, physician owners and the center. You ensure the right process is in place to successfully connect patients with laser therapy from MD primary practice.
· Initial start up of OrthoLazer Center including project management of key facets ranging from construction build out to hiring of OLC team and software implementation.
· The CD represents OrthoLazer with the highest level of customer service and concern for our patient’s wellness. This includes the understanding of, and ability to verbally express, the technology and science behind laser therapy.
· Exemplifying outstanding customer service. The CD is the direct contact for prospective and current patients with respect to customer service, how to engage with our services, cost of treatment, specific conditions treated and any other patient facing concerns.
· Managing relationships with referring providers. The CD is directly accountable for provider relations and expected to perform at a very high level for customer service, medical knowledge, and all aspects of current and future rapport.
· Overseeing and managing daily operations of the center, ensuring excellent service is delivered to all patients. This includes scheduling, inventory/supplies, patient payments, bank deposits, marketing/advertising, financial reporting, and ensuring all business software applications operate effectively.
· Training, monitoring, and coaching the performance of team members. This will be an ongoing focus and the CD is critical in creating an environment supportive of continuing education.
· OrthoLazer is dedicated to the continual development of people and process; the CD is responsible for leading the operationalizing of process improvements thus ensuring success.
· Managing staff which includes establishing and monitoring work schedules and human resource functions where assigned. This includes interviewing, hiring, training, performance evaluation, conducting staff meetings, resolving concerns and disputes, payroll processing, disciplining, and terminating employees as well as all associated recordkeeping.
· Assisting franchise owners in developing and implementing creative marketing and community outreach strategies to share the OrthoLazer story and increase the visibility of this resource within the community.
· The CD is committed to achieving and exceeding revenue and profitability goals. This includes regular reporting of key performance metrics and the thoughtful evaluation of what’s working and what isn’t.
· On occasion, working as a Laser Technician treating patients utilizing laser therapy and processing patient information through the business software applications.
· Maintaining a professional, clean, and safe environment for employees and patients, and developing a culture that embraces OrthoLazer core objectives instilling sound moral, ethical, and business principles in the pursuit of exceptional patient care.
Education, Skills and Training
What does a qualified candidates look like?
· A college degree
· Experience in medical practice start up highly desired
· 3+ years experience in medical or wellness management (multiple locations a bonus)
· Experience interacting directly with patients/clients (required)
· Emotionally intelligent leader who values the importance of human capital as our most important asset
· Experienced in leadership of clinical team
· 4+ years of work experience in a medical/fitness or wellness environment (orthopedics related a plus)
· Experience with private pay health care
· Working knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and common orthopedic diagnosis
· Strong verbal communicator who is comfortable speaking with medical providers at all levels, as well as franchise owner(s), franchisor, and other individuals in the OrthoLazer community
· Self-motivated with the ability to identify and creatively solve problems, set expectations and goals, delegate responsibilities, and effectively interact with and lead staff
· Value flexibility of thinking and function well in the fast-paced environment of a startup culture
· Understanding how acute and chronic pain are impacting our patient’s daily experience and authentic connection when communicating your desire to help
· Proficient computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
· Willing to learn and comply with all labor and employment laws applicable to employees at the franchised location including state and federal laws and regulations related to general business operations and patient care
· Base comfort level with creating and publishing content on social media platforms including Facebook and Instagram to grow an audience and build the brand awareness of OrthoLazer in the community.
