About the Role
Stetco’s increasing capacity and need to keep pace with ever-growing market success has created a rare opening in our shop. We are seeking a Purchasing Manager to work with the Director of Operations and President – to procure, ship, stage, and receive products for customers and the service team, and be responsible for inventory control, including making the appropriate bookkeeping/accounting entries/ The Purchasing Manager will also work closely with the accounting department, sales team, Operations Team, and the President of Stetco. Tech savviness and curiosity will take you far in this role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
- Collaborating with Director of Operations and President, develop and implement comprehensive purchasing plans aligned with organizational objectives and optimize costs while maintaining quality standards.
- Act as a point of contact between the company and suppliers. Manage vendor relationships and contracts to ensure timely delivery of goods and services, adherence to quality standards, and competitive pricing.
- Work closely with the Director of Operations and President of Stetco to ensure terms are favorable.
- Negotiate contracts, terms and agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions for the organization
- Identify potential suppliers based on project requirements.
- Process purchase orders to acquire goods.
- Maintain Item Details in ERP system.
- Work with Team to update Bills of Materials as changes are made.
- Responsibility for parts inventory and control of inventory.
- Receive inventory from suppliers and stock products.
- Monitor and update relevant departments regarding price fluctuations of goods and vendor pricing.
- Manage an efficient flow of parts & pieces to ensure efficient production.
- Attend meetings with the production team, operations manager, vendors and suppliers
MINIMUM & PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Valid Drivers license
- Basic knowledge and understanding of mathematical concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and fractions.
- Ability to apply mathematical formulas to calculate commissions and discounts.
- Strong verbal communication and customer service skills
- Computer literacy and familiarity of Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience and familiarity with QuickBooks and SOS (preferred)
- Forklift certification (preferred)
- Prior experience in automotive, heavy trucks, or hydraulics parts environment (preferred)
COMPENSATION
Competitive salary for this position, with an anticipated range of $90,000 - $110,000 annually, will be commensurate with prior experience and qualifications.
