Objectives of this role
- Ensure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency by supervising, organizing, training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals
- Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory, and shipping methods
- Train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
- Oversee daily operations while controlling and managing inventory and logistics
- Review and prepare workflows, staffing requirements, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans that meet company standards for productivity, quality, and customer service
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service
- Develop, implement, and manage people and processes that positively impact labor and production measurables, schedule compliance, staffing efficiencies, and quality standards
- The successful candidate will plan, organize, lead, and control the flow of work through the company departments promptly while ensuring Quality and On-Time Delivery
- Manage the warehouse workflow, set priorities, and ensure on-time performance
- Oversees inventory control, order management, packing, QA, picking, and pre-pack operations
- Implement best practices for inventory management, warehouse layout, and space utilization
- Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance when necessary
- Meet regularly with warehouse leads to analyze productivity and develop actionable plans for loss prevention
- Utilize data analytics and industry benchmarks to drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Oversee and manage logistics for transporting products to customers and company facilities, communicating with drivers and air partners to ensure efficient delivery of packages
- Creation and supervision of a safe work environment strictly following OSHA regulations.
- Work cross-functionally with other departments to assist with achieving company goals
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years working in warehouse operations
- Bachelor's or master’s degrees in supply chain management, warehousing, fulfillment, economics, business administration, project management, or a similar field
- Six Sigma (Green Belt) and Kaizen Projects
- OSHA Compliance
· Safety Initiatives
· Forklift Certified
· Bilingual-English/Spanish- Plus
· 6+ years experience using Excel
· 5+ years of experience or technical background in WMS
· 5+ years of experience in an industry-related field
· Experience in creating data, analyzing metrics, and data-driven decision-making.
· Proven ability to design and execute a supply chain strategy.
· Strong written and oral communication skills
· Up to 10% travel required
· Curious mindset with proactive and robust analytical and organizational skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
