Kalamazoo County Consolidated Dispatch Authority is accepting applications for Emergency Communications Officer I (Calltaker) and Emergency Communications Officer II (Dispatcher). These positions answer, process and dispatch emergency and non-emergency public safety calls for Kalamazoo County and receives and processes queries though criminal justice and Law Enforcement Information Network (LEIN) systems. These positions perform an essential public safety function and shall be available for work in all conditions and in the event of an emergency. The hourly wage for a Calltaker is $20.10 - $24.64 DOQ. The hourly range for a Dispatcher is $22.45 - $30.48. Dispatch positions require one year of progressively more responsible experience in a public safety answering point environment to qualify.
