The ideal candidate has prior work experience (ob/gyn experience strongly preferred). Computer literacy and multitasking are essential. The position requires attention to detail, reliability and acute thoroughness. The ideal candidate would also possess the following skills or attributes:
- Minimum 3 years of medical assistant experience is preferred. Experience in a ob/gyn strongly preferred.

Duties include:
- Verify patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit.
- Prepares patients for examination by taking blood pressure and weight; reporting patient history summary.
- Assisting physicians with medical procedures including IUD insertion, colposcopy, biopsies, etc.
- Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; keeping patient information confidential.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
- Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
- Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
This is a full-time position. Compensation is based on experience. Must be flexible.
