Events & Catering Coordinator
About Us:
SocialBites Food Hub is a dynamic venue that brings together five innovative new brands - The Original Hot Chicken, Flametown Burgers, INKED Tacos, Pinsa Roman Pizza, and BarSocial – under one roof with social elements to drive in-house guest traffic. We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Events & Catering Coordinator to join our team part-time (approximately 20-30 hrs. per week) and contribute to the success of SocialBites Food Hub’s vibrant, engaging events and catering business.
Responsibilities:
- Event Calendar Management & Logistics
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive event calendar, ensuring a diverse range of events to appeal to our target audience.
- Coordinate with internal teams to align events with marketing initiatives and promotions.
- Oversee the logistics of each event, including setup, breakdown, and coordination of staff.
- Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained for events.
- Entertainment Sourcing:
- Identify and secure entertainment options such as trivia nights, bingo, live bands, and televised sporting events to enhance the overall customer experience.
- Collaborate with local artists and/or performers to bring unique and engaging entertainment.
- Catering Management:
- Drive catering initiatives to expand our customer base and increase sales.
- Hands-on management of food preparation and presentation according to events.
- Work closely with the kitchen to ensure seamless execution of catering orders.
- Deliver catering and set up catering orders.
- Vendor/Client Relationships:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, entertainers, event partners and catering clients.
- Work with GM to negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to ensure cost-effective and high-quality services.
- Promotions and Marketing:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote events through various channels, including social media, email campaigns, and in-store promotions.
- Monitor and analyze the success of events, gathering feedback and making recommendations for future improvements.
Skills Needed
· Passion for the restaurant industry as role may include in-store shifts and shift supervision (as needed).
- Proven experience as an Event Coordinator or similar role in the hospitality or entertainment industry. 1-3 years’ experience preferred.
- Reliable transportation and a valid, clean driver’s license REQUIRED.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Proficient in social media channels (for research and brand development).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal teams, vendors, and customers.
- Creative mindset with the ability to come up with innovative event ideas.
- Knowledge of local entertainment and catering trends.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to oversee events.
