Description:
The Property Control / Inventory Specialist supports the inventory management of property and assists in the day-to-day operations of the Property area in order to deliver successful outcomes in support to the Human Health and Performance Contract (HHPC), and other contracts.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and personal information to which access has been granted.

Positively represent HHPC and JES Tech at all times through a success-oriented and professional demeanor.

Proactively maintain required training and certifications required to conduct assigned duties.
-
Perform responsibilities associated with all DD250 deliverables, the Work in Progress (WIP) process, and all other requests regarding end-item deliverables.
-
Maintain knowledge and understanding of all applicable processes and work instructions, and adhere to them.
-
Maintain and verify data used in processing the monthly report in Contractor Held Asset Tracking System (CHATS).
-
Maintain and verify data used in processing the Quarterly Transfer to NASA/JSC.
-
Maintain and verify data used in completing the NF1018 report to NASA/JSC.
-
Process underutilized/excess Government Property for transfer to JSC for disposal/reutilization. Includes sorting material submitted as excess, researching market values for non-flight materials and equipment, creation/submission of all required disposal documentation, organizing/storing of pending transaction shipments, and delivery of approved shipments to JSC for processing.

Interface with Logistics and Purchasing Sections in researching previous deliveries.

Prepare documentation and perform data entry in the property management system.

Assist with performing the annual wall-to-wall inventory and with reconciling all corrections and posting to the Property Management Database.

Interface with NASA/JSC Equipment Management Representative and Property Disposal Officer for copies of final documents transferred on-site at NASA/JSC.

Maintain up to date knowledge of applicable industry standards, guidelines, technology trends and property management methods. Stay abreast of industry best practices for Property and Logistics Management policies, procedures and technology. Recommend enhancements as needed/practical.

Build and maintain trusted relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and employees.

Ensure that deliverables meet all applicable HHPC and NASA quality standards.

Provide periodic written status reports of property inventory to the Property & Logistics Manager.

Responsible for compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental plan; must be committed to a high standard of safety and comply with all applicable safety laws and all Company safety policies and rules; must report safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnel.

Responsible for compliance with the Government Property Management Plan, policies and procedures.

Maintain regular and acceptable attendance level as determined by the Company.

Complete all assigned training.

Comply with all applicable policies, procedures, and work instructions.

Perform additional duties as needed, which may occasionally require work on weekends and/or evenings, sometimes with little to no advance notice.
Requirements:
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
-
Bachelor’s degree, plus 2 years' experience, or equivalent applicable experience

Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
DESIRED:
-
Familiarity with NASA FAR Supplement (NFS).
-
Familiarity with JSC Forms (i.e. JF290, JF528, JF314)

Familiarity with NASA Form NF1018
-
Familiarity with Department of Defense (DoD) forms (i.e. DD1149, DD250)
