Registered Behavior Technician

The Philadelphia Charter School for Arts & Sciences seeks a full-time Registered Behavior Technician to join the Elementary School/Middle School teaching team at our neighborhood campus located at 1197 Haworth St. At Arts & Sciences, students in grades K-8 engage in a unique educational program designed to grow the next generation of creative leaders, and where students focus on the arts and sciences as major subjects alongside a technology-infused, standards-driven academic curriculum. Job Description:
● Provide services to students based on hours set by Philadelphia Charter
School for Arts & Sciences (A&S).
● Function as an active member of the student's treatment team.
- Respond to emails within one business day
- Receive and implement feedback provided by various members of the school team
- Provide input to the students educational team to help with areas of growth
● Provide on-site services to both school staff and the students.
- Collect data on a daily basis.
- Review data and locate trends within the data
■ Graph data in excel to help understand if the Positive Behavior
Support Plan (PBSP) is effective.
- Assist with data collection: Antecedent-Behavior-Consequence data
(ABC), frequency, latency, interval data tracking, etc.
- Assist with data collection on classroom management strategies.
■ Collect data on positive and corrective behavior demonstrated by both the student and teacher.
■ Collect data on antecedent and consequence strategies used.
- Attend team meetings in regard to FBAs/PBSPs.
● Receive training on Positive Behavior Support Plans for each student on their caseload.
- Accept feedback from the BCBA in regard to training and professional development.Describe behavior strategies.
Implement strategies as outlined in the behavior plan during BCBA observations.Communicate with school staff regarding strategies in the PBSP and support implementation of plans.
● Implement the Positive Behavior Support Plan as written in all relevant settings.Use antecedent and consequence strategies in the classroom, lunchroom, and other areas of the school.
- Transfer skills to the teacher and other staff members within the school to help the student.
● Flexibility to support other students in the building if your student is absent with children within the building as directed by the Special Education team.
● Establish a cohesive school team by generalizing skills across students.
● Modify strategies based on the student’s needs.
● Communicate regularly with the Behavior Analyst and school team.
● Attend monthly supervision to maintain RBT credentialing.
- 5% of the total hours worked must be supervised (2 contacts a month).
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree
● RBT credential preferred but not mandatory
