Job Responsibilities/Duties
Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS) is seeking a temporary Storekeeper in the Material Services department.
This individual will perform complex stores and warehousing work involving a broad knowledge of receiving,
disbursing and shipping material. Performs work such as filling material orders, answering
inquiries regarding stock and shipment, arranging for special deliveries, investigating
complaints, locating lost shipments, maintaining storage yards, performing inventories,
transferring materials, marking and identifying materials, storage bins and/or racks, assisting in
the storage, packaging and shipping of hazardous materials, etc.
Operate forklift, order pickers, carts, etc. involved in warehouse operations and utilizes computers and automatic data processing equipment in the performance of the above functions.
May train and direct others.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED. Three years experience in warehousing.
Comprehend and follow written and verbal instructions and be customer oriented.
Desired Qualifications
Forklift experience desired. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Products. Previous storekeeper experience, preferably on the Hanford site.
Compensation & Benefits
Entry Level Hourly Rate: $29.332
Top Level Hourly Rate: $40.598
In accordance with the current Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), the salary offered for this position will be reflective of the assigned job classification and associated wage scale. Actual placement on the wage scale will be based on a candidate's education, training and/or experience. A step rate increase will be implemented every six months (as applicable) until the top rate of the wage scale is reached.
