Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting our dentists and providing exceptional care to our patients. Duties:
- Assist dentists during dental procedures, ensuring efficient and smooth operations
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for each patient
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure and pulse rate
- Perform dental receptionist duties such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling phone calls
- Prepare patients for treatments or procedures by explaining the process and addressing any concerns or questions they may have
- Take medical documentation, including updating patient medical history and recording treatment plans
- Conduct medical imaging, including X-rays, to assist in diagnosing dental conditions
- Assist with medical coding and billing processes
- Provide support during pediatric dental procedures, ensuring the comfort and safety of young patients
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy and confidentiality
- Conduct patient assessments before and after treatments, monitoring their condition and providing appropriate care
- Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software for creating dental prosthetics
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or relevant role
- Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and materials
- Familiarity with medical documentation and coding practices
- Proficiency in taking X-rays and conducting medical imaging
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations for maintaining patient privacy

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Experience:
- Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- X-Ray Certification (Preferred)
Ability to Commute:
- Lake in the Hills, IL 60156 (Required)
