Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Pediatric Urgent Care

CASA Pediatrics Urgent Care is looking for Pediatric Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants to join our rapidly growing Practice.
- Manager acutely ill and injured patients in the pediatric setting including procedural care

- No primary, ongoing care, or preventative health services

Duties & Responsibilities
- Performs comprehensive medical exams for walk-in urgent care patients requiring health evaluation.
- Performs minor surgical procedures as needed (e.g. suturing)
- Orders and reviews labs and other ancillary diagnostics tests, integrates into management plan.
- Collaborates and communicates effectively with other members of healthcare team
- Managing overall patient care regarding lifestyle and development issues
- Prescribing medications
- Maintains knowledge base by reading professional literature and attending staff development and continuing education programs annually.
Qualifications
- Pediatric experience
- Pediatric Emergency Room, Pediatric Intensive Care, or Pediatric Urgent Care experience preferred
- Comfortable with minor surgical procedures, including suturing
- Masters of Science in Nursing or Doctoral degree in Nursing or Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program required
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state you are applying
- Board Certificate by ANCC or NCCPA
- Maintain a valid license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of Virginia.

Pay: $75.00 - $85.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
