Job Description
Assists providers in the provision of healthcare to the patients of the practice utilizing applicable skills and knowledge within the scope of practice for Medical Assisting.

- Handle messages from all sources regarding patient care and concerns
- Relay information and instructions to patients from providers
- Schedule appointments for patients according to protocols
- Assist with medical record maintenance
- Room and prepare patient for visit with provider
- Perform procedures according to protocol, such as injections, vaccines, POC tests, etc
- Assist providers with procedures
- Answer and triage phone calls
- Maintain a clean and safe office environment
- Demonstrates knowledge of universal precautions, MDCH, OSHA, and HIPPA standards.
- Ensure the safety of patients according to guidelines
- Ensure proper handling of all medications, supplies, and equipment
- Maintain appropriately stocked work area
- Able to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision completing assignments accurately.
- Experience in the ambulatory setting, able to work effectively and efficiently with deadlines, fluctuating volumes, and interruptions.
This position will work 4 days per week and 2-3 weekend days per month. Every staff member has 1-2 closing nights per week.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
