Clearance Requirements: A Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required within a reasonable period. Selected applicants will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. The Procurement Accounting Specialist is responsible for overseeing the process of purchasing goods and services including bidding, documenting and purchasing items in accordance with contract requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner.
● Receives, examines and processes requisitions
● Prepares bid specifications with necessary Terms & Conditions and product requirement documentation; contacts source suppliers and requests proposals.
● Organizes and records bids to present to requestor
● Prepares and processes the Purchase Request including getting the necessary approval signatures
● Follow up with vendors on late deliveries and document issues/concerns in the vendor status as required in the Procurement Manual.
● Resolving purchase order terms and conditions.
● Also supports accounting staff on processing accounts payable, including processing of expense reports.
● Front Desk back-up (i.e., phones, door, shipments, purchase orders, etc.).
● All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Associate degree in Business Administration, Accounting or finance – will consider equivalent level of training/experience in lieu of degree.
- 3+ years of experience in procurement/purchasing.
- Familiar with a variety of procurement concepts, internal controls, practices, and procedures.
- Above average written and oral communication skills to interact with Government representatives, prime and subcontracting officials, and internal team members.
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
Preferred Requirements: 3+ years' experience in:
· Budgeting, vetting suppliers, negotiation of terms and conditions,
· Knowledge of Federal and State contract clauses, contract deliverables.
· Strong Federal Acquisition Regulation knowledge and experience.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
