Responsibilities:
Logistics Coordination:
- Collaborate with freight forwarders, carriers, and stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely transportation of goods.
- Monitor and track shipments, providing regular updates to internal teams and clients.
Customs Compliance:
- Stay informed about international trade regulations and customs compliance requirements.
- Assist in preparing and submitting customs documentation to ensure seamless clearance of shipments.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Manage and organize shipping and customs-related documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, costs, and other relevant information.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Freight Forwarding team to optimize processes and address operational challenges.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Client Communication:
- Communicate with clients to understand their shipping requirements and address inquiries.
- Resolve any issues related to shipments, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Cost Analysis and Budgeting:
- Assist in analyzing freight costs and developing cost-effective transportation solutions.
- Contribute to budgeting and cost control initiatives within the freight forwarding department.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in freight forwarding or logistics operations.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field a plus
